How It Started

Returning to organise games and activities alongside lunch, they realised that meaningful impact required consistency, structure and long-term commitment.

Founded Stride • Serve • Lead
Inspired by their track and field coach's efforts to send lightly worn running shoes to underserved communities, the idea for Stride Serve Lead was born — a youth-led initiative using sports as a common ground to lay the building blocks of opportunity, education and leadership.
Three siblings visited a kindergarten in a temple in Bangkok to serve lunch to children with limited opportunities. What began as a simple act of service became a moment of realisation on how uneven access to opportunity can begin at an early age, affecting developmental stages of life.
Launched Pass the Pair Forward in partnership with Team Cicada, providing pre-loved sports shoes to help create access to sport for children in the Philippines.

About Team Cicada
Founded by Coach Ben, who has roots in the Philippines, Team Cicada, our partner, is an athletics club for youths in Singapore.
​
Every quarter, Coach Ben leads this initiative to give back to the community. He brings pre-loved shoes, clothings and toys to share with his hometown community in the Phillipines. There, these items find a second lease of life that are much cherished.

From athletes to students, Filipino youths benefit from Team Cicada's efforts.
